Being sure you are saved from hell is what this verse (II Corinthian 13:5) is all about. If you die lost, you will go to hell. The problem with most of us is that we won't be honest with ourselves about who we are. When you examine yourself “whether you are in the faith,” you need to be honest. If you are lost and die lost, you are going to hell. This issue needs to be settled.

      When you play with God and play with the word, your mind slips. Therefore, you can profess to know the Lord Jesus, but it doesn't make you so.
